Bad odors around the drainfield
Bad odors around the drainfield indicate a failed septic system because wastewater isn't properly filtering through the soil, leading to untreated effluent surfacing and releasing foul smells caused by harmful bacteria and gases.
Very wet spots with lush green grass growth over the drainfield or septic tank areas
Very wet spots with lush green grass over the drainfield or septic tank indicate a failed septic system because excess wastewater or leaks are saturating the soil, preventing proper drainage and fertilizing the grass unnaturally.
Standing water in the drainfield area
Standing water in the drainfield area signals a failed septic system because the soil is oversaturated, preventing proper absorption of wastewater and causing untreated effluent to pool on the surface.
Plumbing or septic tank back-ups
Plumbing or septic tank backups indicate a failed septic system because blockages or overfilled tanks prevent wastewater from flowing properly, forcing it back into pipes or drains.
Slow draining fixtures
Slow-draining fixtures are a symptom of a failed septic system because blockages or system overloads hinder wastewater from flowing freely into the septic tank and drainfield.
Gurgling sounds in the plumbing system
Slow-draining fixtures indicate a failed septic system because clogs, tank overload, or drainfield issues prevent wastewater from properly flowing and dispersing.

Septic System Repair Process

In King County there is a process that Lilly’s Septic System Repair Services must adhere to.  As a reputable, Licensed & Certified Septic System Repair firm, all repairs go through the King County Health Department Repair Proposal Process.

This process includes submitting a “Repair Proposal” to PHSKC for approval.  The time frame for approval of the Septic System Repair Proposal will depend on the complexity of the repair and urgency of the situation.  In most cases, the approval will happen within 2 weeks.  A simple Septic Repair such as a baffle replacement or Pump replacement or D-Box replacement are completed at the time of discovery and then reported to PHSKC, as a limited repair permit but there is no need for approval before hand on these limited Septic System Repair situations.

Our company is a member of the National Onsite Wastewater Recycling Association (NOWRA) and the Washington Onsite Sewage Association (WOSSA).
